So the good news is, they lived happily ever after! Meghan and Matt’s wedding day was gorgeous. Sunshine. Just a mellow breeze, the kind that makes you smell spring with each breath. Her reception was beautiful and I left with guests arriving to sliders, french fries & soda. I’m pretty sure it was a hit!
But just like anything worth having, we had to work for this picture perfect ending. Our first attempt at a blacktie session left us in a downpour.
Our second attempt to get the perfect garden bridal portrait ended with crazy wind but at least there was sun! Through it all, Matt supported Meghan. Meghan did her best to smile despite the weather. And Dana (Meghan’s mom) and I can now weather just about any storm together, especially with a batch of Dana’s brownies. Hello yummy!
In the end, it was all worth it. Seeing Meghan as a bride made me so happy. I photographed her missionary pictures, and before that her brother’s wedding. I just love being part of a family in this way, seeing how their lives are centered on the temple and service to others. Love like this, with a foundation like that just can’t be beat.
