I have to say that I loved the few months I took off this fall. BUT I can’t complain about how nice it’s been to get back into the swing of things work wise. Kymmber & Blake’s wedding was both the perfect ending to 2017 and a great beginning to another season of shooting.
I shot an engagement session today for the first of my 2017 weddings and then booked another April wedding tonight. Remember when I said I was already booked for April…and then I didn’t say no to this wedding tonight. Ya. I struggle. BUT it’s because I really love shooting Salt Lake Temple/JSMB weddings. They’re close to home, always my style, and the perfect combination. Plus Temple Square in April…ummm yes please!
But…back to Kymmber & Blake’s wedding. The food was amazing as always and the company one of my favorite families! I shot Blake’s brother’s wedding last summer and was excited to learn Liz is expecting. There’s nothing better than seeing my clients become parents. It’s seriously my favorite. But don’t let me get ahead of myself… These two, Kymmber and Blake, are just at the very beginning as husband and wife. They’ve been honeymooning in Hawaii. Once they get home I’m going to remind them that they’re back in Utah by shooting them for two hours in the cold because I’m nice like that… On their wedding day we focused on candids and family images (though of course I snuck in a few couple shots). Next week it’s blacktie session time and I can’t wait!
