In a way I’ve been planning this session for a long time. I got the peacock ornament featured in this last year at Pier One Imports. But then in the end, it totally didn’t match my Christmas decor. So I decided to plan a shoot around it instead. I have Jenny Hansen of Whimsical Headbands create a custom headpiece to match the ornament, and then found this dress at the DI. I also bought some peacock blue jewelry, but decided last minute it just didn’t go. I wanted to work with an awesome florist and makeup artist on this shoot as well, and maybe still will one day, but then spur of the moment I decided to throw in what I had as we headed to Fish Lake and shoot my sister in the getup while we were there. So there may be a part two to this sometime, but for now, here’s Laura rockin the peacock and crazy hairdo/makeup Joc and I gave her. And take note she’s already been camping for three days in these shots. I think she turned out pretty good considering…
