Elizabeth Taylor Frandsen Photography bio picture

Liz

I am many things to many people, but beneath the labels, I am simply one who creates.

Even professionally, I won't be separated from my family.

I love waking up to the soft spoken "mommy" of a happy toddler.

I love living.

My mind never stops racing because it's happily fueled by passion.

I've always loved my husband. Always.

I am only one, but that's just enough.

the girls’ room

As soon as we found out we were having another girl, my brain starting working on how to decorate their room (since I now knew I could do it as girly as I wanted). It’s extremely tiny but will get the job done. I had the idea to create a large gallery wrap of some vintage jewelry. So I visited all the local DI’s until I found just the right combo. I also was able to add in a locket my grandmother gave me when I was a little girl. I shot the above image on my hardwood floors so it would match our house perfectly. Then I went to work on building around the theme of the gallery wrap. I knew I wanted the girls to have a picture of their mom in their room, so I had Jordan shoot a few of me and some with Ella. You’ll see the two winners below. It’s hard to tell, but I’m wearing the locket and the broche (though I wore it as a ring) from the gallery wrap. (The dress is another DI find). I also found these adorable white frames at Michael’s because I knew I’d want to be able to update those pictures often, especially as soon as Hazel is actually born. But for now, I decided to go with a kitty theme since I have an antique cat clock I’ll be hanging, and Ella adore’s her little onyx. Throw in dad, and it all turned out perfect. I’m SO excited everytime I walk in their room. And then the finishing touch was to make and hang tissue paper flowers from our extra tall cealings. (I also need to buy some pink paint to recover the frame holding Ella & I’d pictures…right now it’s off white and just doesn’t go with the room) There are just so many reasons why little girls are the funnest! Anyway…thought you might enjoy this share :)

July 16, 2010 - 2:47 pm Michal - wow Liz that looks amazing! I love the whole thing! I know you probably get a professional photographer rate for printing your photos large and as gallery wraps, but do you have any recommendations for affordable places amateur civilian photographers can get good wraps and enlargements printed? Brandon took some great ones in Hawaii I'd like to see on our walls someday. Congrats again on Hazel (great name!); our baby girl will come late October and we're pretty excited!
