So technically we shot these last year, but just barely. And I wanted to start the new year with a bang, so I saved them a few days I’m thinking 2012 is going to be simply gorgeous. Don’t you agree? Introducing Sam & Brittney. Who’s excited to see these two all done up for a wedding? ME! But first, their stunning engagement session. We shot a little longer than normal, but every time we turned the corner another location beckoned to us…so I hope you’re ready for a long post. Welcome to the new year!

And I have to give a shout out to my fabulous lighting/styling assistants. Thanks girls! We couldn’t have done it without you!

It’s just the beginning for Cassie & Chris. But the end of 2011 for me. I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple to kiss my 2011 wedding season goodbye. We were all so glad we’d done their Blacktie session at the Draper temple ahead of time. It was SO bitter cold the day they were married. Luckily all we had to do was group formals and grab a couple quick shots of the official bride & groom.

I knew LatterDay Bride Magazine would be featuring one of my weddings in their upcoming 2012 issue. But I didn’t know which one they’d chosen. So imagine my surprise, and delight, to find not just one, but two of my weddings featured in the new issue. Congrats to Brennan & Austin and Suzanne & Cameron who’s weddings are featured this year! If you’re a planning bride, make sure to pick up a copy. As much as I love “flipping” through a magazine on my ipad, you still can’t beat the real McCoy.

So I know we already wished you a Merry Christmas like a few hours ago, but then we got bored…

I just wanted one happy, looking right at me with those big blue eyes, shot of Hazel because she is such a pleasant soul. But not so much when I want to take her picture. So just before the photoshoot ended she got a call from Santa…it seems in light of her poor picture performance, she’s been moved to the naughty list
