Seven years ago today, Jordan and I offically started our life together as husband and wife. Below is where we’re at now (well technically two months ago…but you get the idea I love that our family has expanded. Our children are often the highlight of our days. But really, at the end-end of the day, you know the part where the kids are in bed, it’s back to just Jordan and I. We are a family forever. And while we hope to always be surrounded by our children, we know that one day they’ll have families of their own, and it will be just us. I’m okay with that. I look forward to all the different seasons of life we’ll pass through together. I know that each one will bring unique challenges, but also many new joys. I was lucky enough to marry my best friend, forever. I know that not everyone in this life has that opportunity for one reason or another, but if there’s anyway you can swing it, I highly recommend it!

Marriage is not easy, but it’s definitely easier when you love the one you’re married to. And when I say love, I mean it more as a verb and less as a disney romance that just magically happens…

Shalyn & Ty drove up from Beaver to do some engagement pictures in the City so we tried to hit some highlights! I love the downtown architecture, especially the library and city & county building. Shalyn has a big year ahead of her. She graduates high school in the next couple of weeks and then I get to shoot her (I’m sure gorgeous) backyard wedding this summer. She’s a photographer herself and has planned everything around the optimal time of day for pictures. LOVE when my brides do that. I can’t wait to see her wedding dress. She found it in Vegas and her mom said it’s full of bling… I’ll shoot her blacktie session in a month, but until then, enjoy some playfulness in the city.

Cami & Stephan sitting in a tree…K-I-S-S-I-N-G. I had so much fun with these two, playing baseball, climbing trees and enjoying temple square at its best! Cami’s a self-proclaimed blog stalker and has wanted me to shoot her wedding for so long and now it’s almost here. I can’t wait!!!

Laura graduates from the University of Utah with her Master of Social Work degree today and I couldn’t be happier for her! She graduated high school in 2007 and I think it’s safe to say the last five years of her life have been more educating than she ever dreamed. But today marks a fresh start for her in life. Her graduation announcements read, “Smooth seas never made skilled sailors.” If I could toast her through the internet I would. Here’s to a new journey and a fresh set of waves!
