SO Valentine’s Day happens to be one of my favorite holidays. And this year I wanted to share the love.

Book a “Be My Valentine” session for you (your significant other would LOVE to see you looking your best) or you & your valentine together flirting it up (even if you’re old and married it’s still okay to act like you love each other).

What if you don’t have a valentine this year? Love yourself! Seriously. Book a session for yourself. Having a fabulous picture of yourself is not vain, it’s smart and one of the best natural highs around.

SO what’s this “special” include? One hour shooting time at a location of your choice in the greater Salt Lake Valley. More images than you’ll ever need, full-res, on a DVD, begging to be printed. AND if you’re the first, second, or third person to book your session, a BONUS little black book album. The albums are already here, in my office. So if you are on the ball we totally have time to shoot & get your album ready to give for the ultimate valentine gift (just make sure you email me asap so we can set a date soon).

Last weekend I had the opportunity to reconnect with a few of my past brides (and maybe future too!) to shoot some images for the hair & makeup portfolios of Brennan & Tia. It’s so fun to see fresh talent in the wedding industry. I wish them both the best of luck.

These are the kind of wedding photos that you pass down through generations, and after a while, no one knows when they were taken because they’re totally timeless (yet way not boring!). No bird cages for these two (a bit of an inside joke). Now that we’ve dappled in the seriously stunning side of life, I’m looking forward to next week and the moments, laughter and smiles that their wedding day will surely bring!

And I can’t end this post without giving credit where it’s due…props to Stephanie Brinkerhoff for her beautiful work with Britney’s hair & makeup.

So this was supposed to be a winter shoot in Park City showing off Utah’s epic snow. Then we switched locations. And then it never snowed. Yes. It’s January in Utah. So of course it rained, right?! Love it when everything is so muddy your model can’t leave her spot. That’s okay. I’m a wedding photographer. I must adapt. Watch and see.

So it’s snowing! Yeah! I have a “winter” shoot planned this week and we were going to postpone it, but now we’ll hopefully be able to pull it off. So that’s good news.

This past weekend I shot Sam & Britney’s Blacktie session and am working on those images right now. But until I get them all ready to share, I had to share just one, a little taste of what’s to come…Get excited!

AND more good news, Sam & Britney’s St. Regis engagement session caught the eye of Tessa, Salt Lake/Park City Bride & Groom Magazine Editor. She asked if she could share them on her blog. Of course I said yes You can see their online feature today on the SLBG blog HERE. Happy Monday.
