I’ve never seen Project Runway, not because I’m opposed to the show, simply because we don’t have a TV. I know. We’re weird. BUT if you’re a fan, you’re probably going to love this post. And even if you’re not, hopefully you’ll enjoy another taste of somthing new to me: Fashion Photography…

This past Saturday I attended Keith Bryce’s Big Bang Photoshoot. Keith won season 5 of Project Runway. He’s the creative mind behind all of these costumes and sets. And then there were various teams of makeup artists and hair stylists who pulled his vision together with the styling. It was a huge group effort, one I’m happy to have been a part of. I edited a whole bunch and instead of posting them all here, I put them up on facebook for a change. That way everyone could go to town tagging themselves and all their hard work. Miss Lyla May turned one this Wednesday and her mommy is throwing her a fabulous birthday bash! (See the killer invitation Analeis designed at the end of this post) But to my utter dismay, I won’t be in attendance. I’ll be HERE instead I just hope I learn enough to compensate for the fun I’ll be missing. Especially knowing Ella and her daddy will be there.

SIGH.

Somedays I love my job. Other days I have to work, real hard. Like yesterday. Can I just say all day weddings kick my trash? Mentally I LOVE it. Physically, it’s rough, especially as of late. There’s no way I would do it for strangers. Lucky for me, I love my clients and seriously rank them as friends. I just wish I didn’t have to wait until the “luncheon speeches” to find out who they really are I mean, I already knew Jared and Amber were something special, but I had THE best time hearing about the beautiful lives they’ve lived yesterday. Not to mention I could’ve listened to their wedding singer for the rest of my life…

BUT ANYWAY…

I’ll have pictures from their marvelous event soon. And tomorrow’s fashion shoot should provide something interesting images at the least.
Today, right now, I bring you the cutest little girls ever. This is a post mostly about Lyla. However, when Ella’s in the room, she can’t help but interject. Afterall, Lyla is one of her BFF’s.

Well she’s filled out a bit, and it’s ADORABLE. I always wanted a chunky baby. But, as you know and will see, Ella’s more on the non-chunky side

So we joked about putting Lyla on the shelf again, but decided otherwise.

Apparently Lyla loves her bunny just as much as Ella loves hers…

Ella was all set to open this present but we wanted Lyla to do it…

Ella thinks Lyla’s bumbo is her own. And what’s funny, is she easily slides in and out. When you go to remove Lyla, her chubby legs make it a bit more difficult I promise Ella asks to eat at least every hour of the day.

My husband’s promised to take some pictures for me tomorrow. I just hope this nasty rain goes away and doesn’t ruin all the hard work and planning. Oh how I love March in Utah.

(I just previewed this post and noticed two things: 1. I forgot to stamp my logo on all of these shots. Oh well. 2. You’re probably going to be wondering what’s up with Ella’s upper lip area. It’s that permanent lipstick. The kind that’s supposed to last all day. Well it turns out, in Ella’s field testing she’s discovered that if you put a generous amount on your skin rather than lips, it stays on for days at a time, or until your mom scrubs really hard to get it off)

Here’s a peak at my BIG = 6′5 little brother and his darling fiancee Jocilyn.

We’re headed out tomorrow for a Easter weekend trip to Moab. So I thought I’d leave you with the sweetest little Easter gift around. Two weeks ago Analeis and Richard welcomed their little Lyla May to this earth. Even 4 weeks ahead of schedule, she still weighed over six pounds. But being with her to take these only reminded me of how quickly time passes and how fast these little ones grow. That’s what truely makes newborn sessions so incredible. I could never take these pictures again, even if I wanted to. Lyla is truly precious and a miracle in my book. I hope I did her justice…

Here’s the rest of my favorite maternity shoot ever (I can say that…lol). I feel like they’re a little on the serious side, considering Analeis’s natural personality, but I still love them. In all reality, her pregnancy hasn’t exactly been a bed of roses. Lyla May is totally making her work for this one. But I just love her name. It’s totally adorable. Now we eagerly await her arrival and the newborn shoot to follow… Yeah!

So now we made a quick outfit change, but then struggled to find a parking spot downtown and ended up running out of light and warmth. But we still got a few more casual shots…

Would you believe I’ve never shot a maternity session before… Until today! And it turned out so perfect. And what a better couple than my “original” couple. Yep. Analeis and Richard’s wedding was my first, which included a first attempt at bridals and engagements as well. And I couldn’t ask for better guinea pigs. So I had to make this teaser a good one. Six shots with more to come. Isn’t Analeis going to be one hot mamma! Seriously smokin’…
