Amanda and Nate have THE cutest courtship story, which included mailing a sock monkey back and forth while they were long distance. Amanda said she loved how it would smell like Nate’s cologne. It reminded me of when my husband and I wrote to each other and he’d always scent my letters as well Long distance can be tough on relationships, but for the right couples, it’s such an amazing opportunity to really get to know each other and your love. I am so very excited to be working with these two. They’re up for anything I want photographically, and are gorgeous while doing it. We shot these just after all the rain and decided to find a few big puddles to incorporate. We ended up shooting right up to sunset which made for the most gorgeous golden light sifting in. Those last images are not a photoshop effect. Light really can be that beautiful.

The best part about these two… I call them family So excited for you guys to be together forever!

This was the first session I did this year where Spring actually made itself present. We shot these in Chandel’s super cute apartment and around her neighborhood. I loved the blossoming tree and her chandelier. So perfect! We had to put this session together last minute, but I still love how it turned out. And I can’t wait for her bridal session. We’ll actually have a few months to plan and I am positive Chandel will be a radiant bride. So much to look forward too…

Due to the lovely not-so-spring weather we had last week, I now have a crazy busy week of shooting after having to reschedule last weeks sessions. BUT today was a most productive day. We even had time for an ice cream break. And then it ended on the ultimate sweet note: shooting my brother-in-law’s engagements. Ella already adores Jamie and technically it’s not even official yet

Do these eyes look familiar? They should. Today I get to share with you Heather (a.k.a Snow White) & Landon’s engagement session. Instead of shooting in my backyard again (where we shot the Snow White session), we found ourselves in Heather’s backyard. It’s just like mine…plus 50 acres and a bunch more cool stuff. We “had” to ride around on a 4-wheeler to get to our different spots which made the whole session quite enjoyable. I felt like I was back in my little farmtown where everyone has room to roam. Heather lives at the base of Provo Canyon and her property is simply beautiful. I can’t wait to see it in the spring time when everything’s a bloom. But it was still charming even in brown tones. I love the extra spunk Landon brings out in Heather. Love does such wonderful things

I get to shoot Amber’s bridals this weekend and I can’t wait. But in the meantime, here’s a second look at some of my favorites from their session. This time you can enjoy each image at any rate you choose. (FYI, not all of the video images are in this post…) Amber and Jared met bowling so we decided to incorporate that into their session. We also lucked out and found a few other quirky fun spots that brought out their personality as a couple. Loved it!

Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. Due to our schedules this year, Jordan and I decided to celebrate this day of love earlier, in January. But I didn’t want to miss out on the holiday fun today, so I made this video for Jared to surprise Amber with (at least that was the plan…I haven’t actually heard how it turned out). They hadn’t seen any of the pictures yet, except the two teasers I posted

I’ve watched this video several times and I just really love it. I think it’s just the genuine happiness these two radiate and how that’s reflected in the song/image combo. I wanted to share it with you all today to spread the love. Happy Valentine’s Day!
