I’m working on an album to go with this session and I’m having the hardest time deciding on so many things… I am a perfectionist generally, but sometimes I go over the top and want something to be so perfect that I lose sleep over it. It’s a problem I have. But I remind myself, life could be worse. Anyway, once I finalize this album I will definitely be sharing the spreads with you. But for now, I thought I’d post some of my favorites from this session.
I took the inspiration for this black tie session from Jessica’s dress. I loved the autumn colors in it. And when Trey showed up dashing in a tux, I knew this one was going to be a keeper. It’s different shooting a married couple vs. engaged. The love is present in both scenarios, but it’s not the same. The limerance of new love wears off, but is replaced by something much deeper and rich. After we finished shooting, Trey took Jessica out for a beautiful night on the town, complete with fine dining. I am so happy to have met these two, espeically Jessica. Her little Ally is only a few months younger than Ella, and it’s so fun to have someone who you can relate to on a daily “sometimes it’s hard to be a mom, but sometimes it’s wonderful” basis. The girls even played well together while Jess got her hair and makeup done.
Overall I am thrilled with the results of all our planning and effort. Thanks again to Elise for the beautiful makeup and for Trey & Jessica going the extra mile. Hope you enjoy this Black Tie affair and that it leaves you wanting one of your own!
