Elizabeth Taylor Frandsen Photography bio picture

Elizabeth Taylor Frandsen

I am many things to many people, but beneath the labels, I am simply one who creates.

Even professionally, I won't be separated from my family.

I love waking up to the soft spoken "mommy" of my happy toddler.

I love living.

My mind never stops racing; it's happily fueled by passion.

I've always loved my husband. Always.

I am only one, but that's just enough.

a lovely phone call

I found out the Utah Bride Blog was featuring Kimley’s bridal session today by way of phone call. Not from them, but another photographer calling to say he loved what he’d seen! I felt pretty awesome because this photographer happens to be far more well known than myself. I’d heard many good things about him from fellow photographers but had never met him. So here’s a big shout out to all the Utah photographers who believe in supporting one another. Thanks Mr. you know who you are!

And while we’re on the topic of Kimley, I meant to say more about her custom gown the first/second time around, but failed to get the info I needed. Looks like the third time’s a charm. Kimley’s gown was sewn/designed by Terry Jeppsen of Elegant Threads and Kimley had this to say about the experience:

Terry let me help her with the designing of my dress, which was such a great experience. We looked through some magazines together of different styles of dresses, and I had an idea of a few elements of the dress I wanted – ¾ sleeve length, fitted bodice, semi-full skirt but not Princess style – and from there we found some pictures and she let me choose which aspects of which pictures I liked. I loved the look of a “drapy” skirt, or a skirt that has different folds and layers in an artistic design. She came up with some excellent suggestions for the different lace and beading we’d use. Some of the fabrics were even imported from England, which was a nice touch. I also knew I wanted silk, but not in a stark white, and she was able to find a very high quality silk that would be perfect for the type of skirt I wanted. She is definitely a visionary when it comes to dress design, and I was inspired by the “look” I might want just by walking into her design studio ….! She’s a very talented seamstress and the whole process from start to finish was exactly what I had hoped for.”

I think in the next life I’ll have my wedding dress custom designed/sewn with imported fabric too ;) Ok. I only joke with Kimley because she’s completely awesome, down to earth and we love her in this house hold! Bryce too…let’s not forget the man that puts that smile on her face.

Thanks for being wonderful enough to earn me a morning phone call guys!
