Elizabeth Taylor Frandsen Photography bio picture

Elizabeth Taylor Frandsen

I am many things to many people, but beneath the labels, I am simply one who creates.

Even professionally, I won't be separated from my family.

I love waking up to the soft spoken "mommy" of my happy toddler.

I love living.

My mind never stops racing; it's happily fueled by passion.

I've always loved my husband. Always.

I am only one, but that's just enough.

I thought it would be fun to start a little series for me to keep up a few times a month. I’m going to be picking my top ten images from “a year ago” and re-editing them with textures. A large part of what defines a photographers style is there post-processing. I love the look of textures and would like to incorporate these more reguarly into my work. They’re just so dang time consuming…but for this series a must.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this first enstallment from A Year Ago.

For Photographers: To view the edits vs. SOC shots click HERE. Hopefully the underlying series will be to see how my SOC shots improve as the year goes on. My exposures are continually improving, but a drastic difference I noticed when editing these is the sharpness of my images which I credit to my new equipment. My D80 struggled sometimes, especially when shooting wide open as I did in many of these.

February 11, 2010 - 9:35 pm Liz Frandsen - Jeanette, I shoot with the Nikon D700 and either prime lenses or this silly cost more than your camera zoom lenses like the 24-70 2.8.

January 30, 2010 - 4:27 pm Jeanette - I love your work and I'm a silent stalker of yours. I love this post! You are SO inspirational, so thank you! I would love to know what you shoot with now, I have the sharpness problemo myself...

January 30, 2010 - 10:24 am Veronica - So THAT'S how you do it. i was wondering how you did that cool texture. My favorite one is of the girl with her hands shaped like a heart on her stomach and her husband sitting below her.
